About The Role
We are seeking a Director of Data Management to lead our enterprise data strategy, governance, and operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a vision for data management that supports business growth, innovation, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and best practices, while partnering with business and technology leaders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secure across the organization.

About The Role
We are seeking a Director of Data Management to lead our enterprise data strategy, governance, and operations. You will oversee the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and best practices, while partnering with business and technology leaders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secure across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) frameworks.
- Oversee the development and enforcement of data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, consistency, privacy, and security.
- Collaborate with business units, IT, analytics, and compliance teams to identify data needs, resolve data issues, and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the architecture and operations of data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration pipelines.
- Direct the implementation of tools and technologies for data cataloging, lineage, profiling, and stewardship.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Drive data literacy initiatives across the organization, promoting best practices in data usage and stewardship.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with data-related regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX).
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on data management initiatives, progress, and key metrics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in data governance, data quality, MDM, and metadata management concepts and tools.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, ETL, and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, data lakes).
- Experience with data privacy and security regulations and frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business strategy and requirements into actionable data management initiatives.
- Experience working in cross-functional, enterprise environments; ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DAMA certification are a plus.
- Hybrid or onsite work environment, depending on company policy.
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings and conferences.
