Summary : Provides administrative functions including, but not limited to answering phones, general administrative duties, maintaining a clean facility environment, and maintaining supplies.
Compensation : $18 - $22 per hour Duties : - Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical facility - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records and update information as necessary - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Ensure a clean and organized reception area Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines - Strong organizational skills to manage appointments, records, and administrative tasks efficiently - Attention to detail to accurately verify insurance information and collect payments - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information Please note that this position may involve working in an emergency room (ER) setting, so the ability to handle high-stress situations is important.
