Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for completing quality checks to ensure products meet high quality standards and ensuring our quality processes are followed. This position will collect and track the data being provided and analyze the data to offer insight and suggestion on areas of improvement such as cost minimization.
Responsibilities
- Complete quality checks to ensure products meet high quality standards in an ISO environment
- Report quality discrepancies to appropriate personnel
- Analyzes and report out daily, weekly and monthly QA data.
- Utilize 1 x 1 problem solving to determine root cause and associated corrective actions and long-term preventative actions.
- Perform regular QA Audits (ISO) to ensure processes are being followed.
- Maintain and execute Sample Parts process, including storage, data entry and the distribution/use of sample parts
- Support all internal and external NCR investigations under the direction of QA Coordinator or Supervisor
- Shop tool calibration and recording
- Update PC Group on Prototype and FA review completion and saving all relevant documentation in the customer folder
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary education in a related field an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in QA roles within an ISO environment required
- Welding and metal work experience is required
- Automotive industry experience required
- Experience in the packaging industry an asset
- Proficient with computers, especially with MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach Excellent time management skills
