Summary:
The Controller is a critical position serving as the steward of the General Ledger. Accuracy, timeliness, and consistency are core competencies required to succeed in this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees the General Ledger, including preparing GL entries and reconciliation of accounts to ensure proper adherence to GAAP.
- Oversees the management and coordination of fiscal activities including revenue, expenses, cash flow, cost analysis and budgets.
- Coordinates with CPA firm to prepare and provide all year-end schedules for annual financial and 401k statements and tax planning and preparation.
- Provides analysis of cost accounting procedures and inventory consumption to ensure accurate costing.
- Completes a margin analysis for various products to identify trends in our production process.
- Manages capital assets and depreciation schedules.
- Completes analysis, prepares journal entries and month end financial statements according to GAAP standards.
- Prepares and files state sales tax and property tax returns.
- Completes timely and accurate multi-entity consolidated reporting requirements for the Bank.
- Oversees daily operations of accounting department and supervises accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll staff.
- Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on capital investment decisions, trends and process improvements.
- Assists with annual and quarterly pricing recommendations and analyses.
- Reviews payroll to help ensure consistent, accurate, and timely submissions.
- Manages accounting functions of the Real Estate entities.
- Other accounting projects and analysis as needed to support a growing organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job supervises the accounting team.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Controller capacity.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting with increasing responsibility.
- 3 years of Controller level experience.
- Strong computer skills with ERP system, sequel data bases and ability to query data.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools within.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving personality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
