Requirements / Qualifications

Please note that all applicants must meet the minimum requirements. Bachelor's Degree of higher Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Must meet Transitional Kindergarten qualifications: -At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both. -As determined by the LEA employing the teacher, professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children that is comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1. -A child development teacher permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Possession of, or the ability to obtain within 2 years, an EL authorization Basic Skills Requirement or CBEST Subject Matter Competency (Verified through current credential or MSAT/NTE/CSET) CPR/First Aid Certification (Must meet the standards of the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross and include adult, child, and infant CPR and AED. Not required for applicants with preliminary or clear credentials.)
