What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3PL Site Manager position at Palmer Distribution Services Inc?
Palmer Logistics is a 3rd party warehouse organization in Houston, TX and looking to fill a Site Manager Role. We have twelve (12) locations in the Houston/Baytown/Pasadena area, one (1) in Grand Prairie, TX and one (1) in Dallas, TX. Palmer Logistics services customers in Hazardous Chemicals, Non-Hazardous Chemicals, Food Grade and General Commodities with storage and distribution and follows Good Manufacturing Practices. We also offer our customers specialized services such as labeling, repackaging and contract facility management. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in order fulfillment environment, distribution. Must have worked in third party logistics in buildings with more than 100k square feet. HazMat certification required. Oversee a 3PL warehouse operation, to ensure a safe and productive operating environment. Assist with planning and scheduling of distributions services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned and damaged goods. Ability to manage a team of 20 plus personnel. Will be responsible for Profit & Loss reports and Labor Management. Must have strong Micro Soft Office Skills, working knowledge of WMS, Lean 6 Sigma certification. The ability to work prolonged hours is necessary.

Experience: 10 years in distribution - 3PL preferred
Qualifications:
2-4 years' experience with hazardous material and knowledge of DOT guidelines and regulations
Understanding of dangerous goods regulations as related to IMDG and IATA
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Exceptional leadership skills; training, mentoring
College Degree preferred
APICS or Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification
