Description
Maintain proper irrigation on all grounds; operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment; maintain golf course grounds.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Designs, implements, and maintains mechanical and electrical components of complex irrigation system (Toro).
- Repairs equipment associated with irrigation.
- Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with irrigation.
- Maintains records on all equipment maintenance associated with irrigation.
- Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment.
- Irrigates all grounds as needed.
- Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Conducts all work in compliance with OSHA standards, guidelines, personal protective equipment etc.
- Complies with all Resort policies and procedures.
- Operates and maintains golf course equipment when necessary.
- Follows all state and local safety and environmental standards.
- Other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of turf, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, golf course equipment and irrigation technology.
- Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary.
- Keen attention to detail and strong sense of urgency.
- Proven work experience as an irrigation tech.
- Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems.
