Job Functions :
Gain the patient's confidence by obtaining pertinent history, describing the procedure, and answering any questions.
Monitor the patient's physical condition during the course of the procedure.
Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage and radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed, using computer, and following physicians' prescription.
Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
Evaluate images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
Provide images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation.
Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment and camera.
Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures
Other duties deemed necessary by management as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience
Nuclear Medicine graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program
Must be Certified and Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology with the ARRT or CNMT
