Fleet Maintenance Foreman

Palmetto Yacht has been an industry leader in yacht transportation since 2008. We have since grown to a fleet of more than 50 assets and multiple locations along the eastern seaboard! With this growth, we are building our internal maintenance team to be a WORLD CLASS fleet management program.  We serve our customers by providing superior service of hauling multi-million dollar yachts along the eastern us. Requirements:

• Familiarity with 5S, 6 Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
• Diesel engine repair: 1 years (Required) (Diagnostics only- We do not do internal engine repairs)
• A minimum of 2 years of management experience
• Demonstrated experience in fleet maintenance, familiarity with Fleetio is beneficial
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, techniques used in truck and trailer repair and maintenance. Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
  
• Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing SOP's to ensure tasks are being done correctly and efficiently
• Manages the daily work to ensure that all operating equipment is in satisfactory working condition
  
• Monitors work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed
  
• Oversees technicians, as well as assisting with the tasks
  
• Work-order management
• Manages significant maintenance/refit projects as well as new asset up-fits
  
• Controls downtime by informing the maintenance team of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance

Professional Skills:

• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  
• Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in repairs and replacement
• Understanding of vehicle operations and safety guidelines
• Proficient in the use of all tools of the trade, shop equipment, and power tools including but not limited to jacks, hydraulic lifts, air tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings
• Apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner
• Capable of working with peers and associates from other departments and shifts proactively and constructively
  

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday with some Saturdays and overtime if there's a business need
• On call
