Architect/Designer

Pamela Sandler Architect, an award-winning architecture firm based in Stockbridge, MA, is currently seeking a full-time Architect/Designer with ten or more years of professional experience. The ideal candidate should possess a strong passion for working creatively and collaboratively in a client-driven, small office environment. With a focus on high-end residential and commercial spaces, our firm has been creating innovative designs in MA, NY, and CT for the past thirty years, incorporating elements of new construction, restoration, historic preservation, and renovation to deliver unique and joyful spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize superior design, technical, and project management skills to deliver exceptional architectural solutions
• Foster relationships and teamwork throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization to completion
• Work both independently and collaboratively with others to ensure successful project outcomes
• Maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude in a client-focused environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master of Architecture degree
• Ten or more years of post-graduate experience in residential projects required; some commercial experience strongly preferred
• Ability to produce high quality, accurate, and detailed construction drawings
• Solid background in planning, design programming, and site and project organization
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Knowledge of space programming, contract documents (including detailing, specifications, production management, design production), and contract administration
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, collaborate effectively with internal and external teams, and work well under deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and process-driven thinking
