Description:
The Mountain Bike Instructors are the on-hill Mountain Bike ambassadors for Panorama Mountain Resort. They have a passion for biking which is infectious to those taking advantage of the service. They will instruct guests from ages 6 years and up and of all ability levels on the proper techniques of downhill mountain biking as well as instruction on safety techniques.
Essential Functions:
Meet guests at the determined location.
Ensure the guest has the proper equipment and bike for the lesson, and ticket for lift access.
Gauge and assess all guests riding ability and ensure they are in the appropriate level lesson.
Instruct guests in the proper techniques of mountain biking in a group or private environment.
Ensure all safety requirements are met.
Assist Mountain Outfitters if no lessons are booked.
Must be animated and personable.
Assist lift attendants with the loading and unloading of Mountain bikes as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
Minimum level 1 Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA), or equivalent.
Intermediate to Advanced Downhill Mountain Bike Ability.
Physically fit.
Experience coaching children and adults from ages 6 years and up.
Able to lift 50lbs.
