What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician (Part-time) position at Paoli Pharmacy?
Part-time Pharmacy Technician position available in a team-oriented, family owned & operated retail pharmacy in Paoli, PA. Competitive compensation package based on experience and credentials. Pharmacy Technician Certification not required. Successful candidates will pass a background check. Position is for Mondays & Thursdays (morning/evening shift) and alternating weekend rotation.
Position Tasks:
- Assisting the pharmacist(s) in the filling, verification, and filing of prescriptions
- Assisting patients in person and on the phone
- Communicating via phone with medical professionals and insurance companies
- Inventory management
- Keeping the pharmacy tidy and well-stocked of all supplies
- Prescription intake as well as checking out the patient once their prescription is complete
- Additional tasks as necessary
Position Requirements:
- at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to thrive in a quick-paced environment with periods of high traffic volume
- excellent customer service skills
- computer skills necessary (prior point-of-sale experience is a plus)
- ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- ability to multitask
- strong attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
