Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety standards
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction management
- Train, develop, and mentor staff in culinary skills, customer service, and operational procedures
- Conduct interviews and hire new team members to build a strong workforce
- Implement training programs for ongoing staff development in areas such as food handling and customer service
- Monitor financial performance through budgeting and cost control measures
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Experience with inventory control and budgeting processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Background in fine dining or casual dining environments preferred
- Familiarity with various POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
