What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal General Labor position at Paradise Tomato Kitchen?
SUMMARY:
Perform one or more packaging functions through rotation from packer positions to floor positions. Duties will include hand packing, material handling, maintaining of equipment and glue hoppers, palletizing and stretch wrapping container.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect pouches, carton and filled container to ensure that product is packed, coded, weighed and cooled according to specifications.
- Replenish packaging supplies such as wraps, inserts, slip sheets, stretch wraps, pallets, boxes, glue, ink and or labels.
- Clear all the rejects from the x-ray machine such as under or over weight on cases, or rejects for foreign object in product.
- Performs sanitation of the area.
- Understands and uses current Good Manufacturing Practices to perform work.
- Understands and uses the Standard Operating Procedures for the area.
- Rework product back into the system.

- High School Diploma/GED and/or two 2 years related experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Frequent squatting, bending, pushing/pulling, twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting.
Seasonal Batcher:
Direct, coordinate, and participate in the preparation and mixing of ingredients according to recipes and cooking of sauces and other products in industrial blending equipment. Works directly with QA and Scale Up personnel to ensure that products are properly prepared and ingredient usages can be traced by quantity and lot.
Seasonal Filler:
Ensures that proper package size and filling of products is in accordance with customer’s specification by following product playbook. Works directly with QA and Supervision personnel to ensure proper code, weight and temperature requirements are met.
Seasonal Forklift:
Receive, store and issue materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse to fill customers’ orders. Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include shipping merchandise or material, receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material.
Seasonal Packaging Driver/Tail Off:
Performs one or more packaging functions such as hand packing, material handling, maintaining of equipment and glue hoppers, palletizing and stretch wrapping container, entering of raw and finished products into the inventory control system, and operation of x-ray machine.
Seasonal Packaging Technician:
Perform one or more packaging functions through rotation from packer positions to floor positions. Duties will include hand packing, material handling, maintaining of equipment and glue hoppers, palletizing and stretch wrapping container, entering of raw and finished products into the inventory control system, and operation of x-ray machine
