Paradise Valley Estates (PVE) is an 80 acre, premier life plan community located in the foothills of Napa Valley in Fairfield, California. Founded originally as a military community, PVE has evolved to include all members of the community but the military heritage and values of Honor, Authenticity, Collaboration and Service still exist.
Working under the supervision of the Wellness Director, the Wellness Assistant will be responsible to participate in the development and delivery of a person - centered activity program which meets resident’s needs in Quail Creek Assisted Living. This position will assist in evaluating effectiveness of programming. Will assist the Wellness Coordinator with a variety of tasks as directed. Wellness Assistant will contribute to an uplifting positive atmosphere at Quail Creek and in the greater PVE community. Is accountable for the quality of programs and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as, the policies and procedures of Paradise Valley Estates. The chosen candidate will share PVE’s vision and values to be an excellent cultural fit.
Job Responsibilities and Competencies:
- Reports significant information to the Wellness Coordinator or the Assisted Living Manager concerning significant resident problems during activities.
- Is alert for any changes in the resident's condition and reports these to the Wellness Coordinator or the Assisted Living Manager.
- Contributes ideas to the Wellness program and proactively seeks out ideas to bring to the table.
- Conducts scheduled activities with flare and enthusiasm.
- Remains flexible and adaptable.
- Communicates through appropriate channels.
- Handles difficult situations with good judgement.
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience necessary. On the job training will be provided. Must demonstrate an eagerness to learn.
- Must have ability to be front facing, working with current and prospective residents, team members and leadership as required.
