Qualified individual will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all equipment and systems in a bakery manufacturing plant. This role ensures optimal performance and safety of machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting production by maintaining high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, adhering to food safety and sanitation requirements, and working as part of a team to enhance overall plant efficiency.

- Quickly troubleshoot and repair bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, packaging lines, and other production machinery
- Diagnose issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to restore equipment to operational status promptly
- Work with PLCs, VFDs, and control systems to identify and resolve faults, ensuring alignment with production requirements
- Conduct scheduled maintenance activities to prevent unexpected breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Utilize diagnostic tools to predict potential equipment failures and address them proactively to maintain production flow
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend adjustments or modifications to improve reliability and efficiency
- Work with production to fine-tune settings on machinery for optimal output and minimal product waste
- Implement solutions to recurring issues and mechanical inefficiencies by adjusting, modifying, or replacing parts or systems
- Assist in installing new equipment or upgrading existing systems to increase production capabilities or quality
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams on the commissioning of new technology and machinery, ensuring compatibility with current systems
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food production
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, motor controls, and other control systems is a plus
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Certifications: OSHA certification, welding certification, or refrigeration certification preferred but not required
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in hot and cold environments, and stand or walk for extended periods
