Pariser Dermatology Specialists has been providing dermatology services to the Hampton Roads community for more than 75 years. Today, Pariser Dermatology Specialists has seven locations across Hampton Roads and is one of the largest independent dermatology practices in the country.
Are you looking for a rewarding career in a fast paced environment? We are currently hiring a Scribe to join our team in our Moh's surgery department. Candidates must be willing and able to travel and work in our Norfolk and Suffolk offices offices every week on a set schedule. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to build a strong rapport with providers and patients. Responsibilities and Duties
- Training for this position will happen between Suffolk and Williamsburg until September
- Entering the room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing EHR and other practice software
- Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned
- Regular and reliable attendance at assigned facility required
- Preparing and sending all documentation to physician for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures
- Entering and documenting all referrals, orders and prescriptions as directed by provider to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient’s visit
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to travel and work in our Norfolk and Newport News offices
- Prior experience as a medical assistant and/or scribe is preferred
- Typing 60 WPM or more
- Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
- Ability to problem solve in a strong, confident manner
- Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferable
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
