ADON/Risk Manager
Park Nursing Home is looking for a dynamic, and innovative ADON to assist with overseeing the day to day operations of the facility. The ADON will bring leadership and managerial skills to assist nursing staff with problems, foster autonomy and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities include:
- In collaboration with the DNS direct, oversee and guide nursing staff.
- Work with other department heads to create a cohesive team.
- Direct nursing staff in creating and enforcing policies related to the scope of nursing care and services.
- Oversee staffing to maintain adequate coverage.
- Responsible for the investigation and completion for all accidents and incidents.
- Identify risks and root cause for accidents and incidents. Implement appropriate interventions.
- Keep statistics on accident and incident reports.
- Participate in various meetings as required.
- Coordinate admissions with the admissions department and nursing team.
Skills:
- Conduct rounds.
- Knowledge of NYS and federal regulations on reporting requirements.
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficient.
- Problem solving skills
- Sigmacare experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-2 years in Long term care with a background in a manager/supervisory role. (Preferably someone with previous experience in a ADON position)
- Valid RN license in the state of New York.
- CPR certification.
