Job Summary:
The Park Place Hotel in Traverse City, Michigan is seeking a part-time Bartender to join our team in the hospitality and restaurant industry. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests while providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, promptly taking drink and food orders while providing menu recommendations and specials.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel and state laws and regulations, adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, rotating inventory, and managing cash transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards, including proper handling and storage of alcoholic beverages.
- Serve guests in the lounge or restaurant area, providing timely and attentive service throughout their visit, and anticipating their needs.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and other team members to ensure efficient and seamless service for our guests.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management as needed.
- Continuously strive to improve guest satisfaction by seeking feedback, implementing suggestions, and personalizing service.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a bartender in a restaurant or hotel setting preferred.
- Knowledge of bartending techniques, recipes, and mixology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks to meet guest and business needs.
- Customer service skills to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment for guests.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain state-approved alcohol service certification and adhere to state regulations.
