The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a crucial role as a part of our Senior Leadership Team. The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Park Square Homes and its entities in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles, in accordance with prudent financial management techniques and practices appropriate to the homebuilding industry. They will provide strong leadership to the finance function, while delivering the strategic vision and focus on profit improvement, cost efficiency, and operational excellence techniques.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position is directly responsible for leading managers of the division and indirectly responsible for all employees within the division. They will be responsible to build, develop, and manage the team to carry out necessary initiatives, and will act as a coach and mentor to the team and others on the Sr. Leadership team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal functions and performance while ensuring the integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of the financial and business information.
- Guide and oversee all financial aspects of Park Square Homes and its entities, including:
- Overseeing all budgets – including monitoring and reporting of financial performance and distributing monthly financial statements and quarterly inventory reporting.
- Responsible for company’s annual business plan, 18-month cash flow analysis, 24 month rolling business plan, and the actual vs. projected analysis for all planning. Oversee and manage the development of one, two, and three-year operating plans.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial operating results to provide information to Sr. Leadership, Divisional teams, and external partners.
- Financial planning and the identification of business opportunities – including monitoring investment schedules and maximizing on ROI funds, banking relationships, borrowing base reporting, credit line utilization analysis and reducing costs where available.
- Responsible for overseeing all credit facilities including term negotiations, documentation, and policies.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making topics and issues affecting the organization, and provide support on the evaluation or potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, investments, and/or other areas that may affect the business
- Management of company taxes –including annual income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and real estate taxes on owned land.
- Management of company audits and special reporting – including the facilitation of the annual external audit.
- Management of the company’s cash flow programs.
- Management of lien waiver issues.
- Projecting financial forecasts and the forecasting of local/national/global economic conditions
- Management of all Land Accounting, including new land and loan setups.
- Guidance of corporate risk management and compliance monitoring – including trade partner insurance, coverage requirements, sourcing, pricing, risk minimization, and benchmarking.
- Special financial analysis and projects as necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications

Education and Experience:
- A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university in Finance/Accounting. MBA or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively more complete related financial management experience, including at least 8 years of direct team member management.
- Homebuilding experience is a must
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
