Job Summary :
The Floor Technician is responsible for making sure that all floor surfaces are properly cleaned and maintained as per manager's direction.
The incumbent will also perform other duties as outlined below.
Responsibilities :
1. Scrub floors to remove all soil and finish the base of floor material. Remove splash marks from baseboards, walls, and doors.
2. Must be able to strip and refinish floors properly as per manager's direction; refinish floor to glossy, depth shine.
Must be able to extract and bonnet carpets.
3. Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request.
4. Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
Assist in maintaining main housekeeping storage in a clean manner.
5. Report to each fire and / or drill to assist in transporting residents or directing traffic.
6. All Floor Techs must be cross-trained in housekeeping and laundry in order to fill in when necessary.
What you will bring to the job?
2. Education : Sufficient to demonstrate functional literacy.
3. Prior maintenance experience in an institutional setting preferred.
