The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is ambitious, organized, energetic, and has exceptional customer service skills. Directors of Business Development should be welcoming to all residents, staff and visitors and always portray the organization in a positive manner. Candidates must be dedicated to learning the details of the building, company functions and all policies and procedures related to census. Candidates must have good public speaking skills and be able to effectively network. This position will report to the Administrator and by applying for the position you recognize that nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties or responsibilities to this job at any time. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their schedule to accommodate potential marketing events or other needs outside of normal business hours. You may be asked to help in other areas of the building as needed for the optimal performance of your building/department and the well-being of our residents.
Essential Job Functions:
As a Director of Business Development you must be able to perform the following essential functions as demonstrated by the ability to:
- Conduct professional, sales-oriented tours to potential residents/representatives of facility and drive the internal facility marketing efforts.
- Possess knowledge of all service lines of business offered by Parkview Health Care.
- Interview potential residents and residents’ representatives to collect accurate data on admission inquiries.
- Communicate with Case Managers and referral sources regarding all referrals to facility.
- Comply with all state, federal and OSHA regulations.
- Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with Case Manager to ensure cost-saving opportunities are utilized.
- Keep accurate data to track referral sources and accurately complete documentation as needed for this position.
- Establish a good rapport with transferring institutions.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Job Qualifications:
- All candidates must be proficient in basic computer programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel and Microsoft Operating Systems. Applicants must be able to correspond timely through e-mail, phone, text messaging or other forms of technical communication as needed to successfully complete the requirements for this job.
