Summary Under the direction of Director is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the exercise for cardiac rehab patients. Evaluates Phase I patients, and Phase II cardiac rehab patients.#Develops supervised exercise and prepared progress reports for physicians.#Organizes and instructs clinics or exercise related classes. This includes Cardiovascular Health screens, 6 minute walk test, Health Assessment, Individual Treatment Plans, exercise testing, risk factor education and consultation. Education Minimum of a Bachelor#s degree in the area of#Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology,#Kinesiology#or related field.# Licensure/Certification As of 11-22-2019 Certification by ACSM as an #Exercise Physiologist# or #Clinical Exercise Physiologist##or must obtain within the first year of employment.#Prior to 11-22-2019, certifications at time of hire will be accepted. A change from a previous certification to ACSM #Exercise Physiologist# or #Clinical Exercise Physiologist# will also be accepted. Must have current CPR Certification.#Must be blood pressure and heart rate monitor certified which may be done through on the job training. Experience Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Other Qualifications Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 150 lbs. shared lifting. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must be able to supervise student Interns. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
