The pharmacy department at Parkview Health is looking for highly motivated and reliable candidates to join the pharmacy team. Summary: Provides world-class pharmacy services while assisting the Pharmacist in assigned areas of drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, and dispensing.
Primary Functions:
- Monitor and replenish medication inventory using automated dispensing cabinets and inventory management technology
- Prepare compounded sterile products
- Maintain controlled substance inventory with high accountability and accurate documentation
- Communicate medication needs with pharmacist and nursing staff
Education: High school graduate or equivalent GED required. Successful completion of algebra, clerical, and science courses preferred. Computer classes and experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must have or be eligible for an Indiana Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board of Indiana license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern. A Tech in Training program is offered internally. Full Technician or Intern licensure must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
Experience: One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work preferred.
