What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANOS Pre-K Teacher Assistant / Aide (bilingual) position at Partners in Learning, Inc,?
The MANOS Teacher Assistant / Aide provides primary assistance to the MANOS Lead Teacher in the provision of classroom-based services to children aged three to four years.
Duties
Assist Lead Teacher and other staff in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, quality learning environment for children aged 3 and 4;
Help develop learning opportunities, engage children in developmentally appropriate activities, and actively support the development of children's social/emotional, reading, writing, language, and numeracy skills;
Assist children with daily routines that include serving food, handwashing, toileting, changing wet or soiled clothing, cleaning the classroom, and sanitizing toys; and
Review, follow, and implement MANOS, Syracuse City School District, NYS OCFS, and PIL program and administrative policies and procedures.
Requirements
Must have Child Development Associate (CDA) certification OR a minimum of six (6) college credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR must be working towards CDA with appropriate experience.
Spanish and English proficiency preferred.
Nice To Haves
