Partnership is seeking an experienced, fluent ASL interpreter to join our Deaf Services team in serving our local deaf, deaf-blind, and hard-of-hearing community! This full-time (37.5 hours per week) position is eligible for all company standard benefits, including generous paid time off!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Understanding of deaf culture and the deaf community required
- Must be able to travel regularly within the workday
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Three (3) years of relevant experience preferred
- RID/NAD certification (or similar) preferred
Essential Job Duties:
- Provides direct interpreting services to provide equal access to deaf consumers.
- Communicates and interprets fluently in American Sign Language (ASL) and voice reversals.
- Adheres to the Registered Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Ethics, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable regulations in all aspects of job performance and service delivery.
- Coordinates interpreting assignments with schedule for optimum results.
- Assures confidentiality of information related to clients, personnel, and other information of confidential nature.
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships within and outside the agency.
