What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Passion Dental?
We are seeking a self-motivated, knowledgeable, and dedicated certified dental assistant for our busy dental practice. Our office strives to ensure that adequate access to dental care is available for patients of all ages, demographics, and dental needs.
We have modified our clinical operations to reflect current public health standards including employee PPE (N95 masks, face shields and gowns) and adjunct infection control modalities (HOCL fogging and air filtration units).
Certified Dental Assistant Qualifications:
Candidates must have active DANB CDA license and/or MA Formerly Trained
Dental Assistant License

Certified Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays)
Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and
preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
Providing patients with instructions for preventative oral care
Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments,
answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including
orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery
Fluoride and sealant application under direct supervision from the dentist
Other duties may be assigned!
