What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Coordinator position at Paterson Public Schools?
- Hold a New Jersey instructional certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6 Chapter 11 with a health and physical education endorsement and other appropriate endorsement(s) for the position held (N.J.A.C. 6:11-6.1, 6.2).
- Hold a valid drivers license with no serious violations
- Knowledge of NJCCCS for Physical Education & Health
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent experience in teaching and working with students in the field of comprehensive health and physical education, unless entering teaching from an alternative certification program
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts of health and physical education, safety, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, administration, and the community - bilingual a plus
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
