What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time or PRN) position at Patient Plus Urgent Care?
The Nurse Practitioner will provide high quality, patient care to all patients in collaboration with other staff members to ensure that all patient needs are met. To provide care based on physical, psycho/social, and educational appropriate to all ages of patients. To practice medical services as directed by the supervision physicians as long as they are within the scope of practice for the RN/APRN. At all times the nurse practitioner will abide by the standards and laws governing the certifications that they hold. It is the responsibility of the nurse practitioner to keep all certifications and license current at all times.
Requirements:Current Louisiana State Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Family Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Practice
Current BCLS, and ACLS Certification
Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority
Effective communication and leadership skills
Ability to effectively work in a fast-pace environment
