The Maintenance Technician of Patria Church is to perform routine work involving the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment to maintain an aesthetic and welcoming environment to all guests that occupy Patria Church campuses. This individual must have a high priority to follow all safety regulations when maintaining the grounds. The Maintenance Technician would be responsible for preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical repairs as well as remain cost effective when suggesting improvements. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills. This Maintenance Technician would be under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planners, drill presses and various hand tools.
• Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions.
• Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repair, to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, health and safety.
• Perform general maintenance repairs including but not limited to replacing worn or defective parts such as switches, fuses, worn or damaged hoses, wiring, machine belts; repair vacuums, light fixtures, boxing in assembling furniture, door hinges; change HVAC filters, clean key slots.
• Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the campus buildings.
• Lead in the building, painting of sets for production and courtyard experiences.
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals by responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Document, report maintenance and repair work.
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Follow directions, be self-directed, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies.
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent qualifications.
• A minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Able to successfully complete background investigation and drug screen.
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field preferred.
• Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software. Windows based software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

ORGANIZATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Always demonstrate Christ-centered behavior by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
• Member of the Patria Church (or willing to transfer membership to Patria Church).
• Pastors are required to attend all regularly scheduled Sunday and Wednesday church services. Support staff must attend at least one (1) regularly scheduled weekend church service.
• Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
• Regular involvement in Patria Church activities, ministries, neighborhood groups, and events.
• Tithe 10% to Patria Church.
• Signed acknowledgment of the Patria Church’s Statement of Faith.
• Ability to interpret and adhere to Patria Church’s policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
• Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
• Professional attitude and demeanor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position also may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and hand/eye coordination for keyboard data entry and viewing data on a computer monitor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional exposure to loud noises.
