What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Patriot Machine Inc?
Performs any combination of the following calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Responsibilities:
- Compiles and sorts monthly Work In Process using ERP system and Excel
- Supports Contracts Administrator with sales order entry and follow up. Maintains a spreadsheet of master contracts
- Various cost accounting tasks, such as reporting on actuals versus budgeted costs for manufactured parts
- Invoices customers for prior day shipments
- Follows up on customer payments
- Enters accounting information into ERP system. Files accounting records
- Assists with various accounting projects and audits as necessary
- Conducts inventory counts and reports on any discrepancies
- Serves as a back-up for Accounts Payable and Receivable
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- Must be able to work quickly and effectively within Microsoft Excel
- Strong critical thinking skills required
