CPA Firm | Hauppauge, NY
We are a well-established CPA firm located in Hauppauge, NY seeking a Tax/Audit Intern to join our team.
Our firm is led by three partners and supported by seven employees/contractors, creating a close-knit, family-like environment where mentorship, collaboration, and learning are a priority.
Our practice mix includes:
- 60% Tax/Accounting Services
- 30% Audit & Assurance
- 10% Advisory & Other Related Services
This internship or accounting position is an excellent opportunity for students who want hands-on exposure to public accounting, even at an early stage in their academic career.
Intern Responsibilities
- Support audit and assurance engagements, including basic fieldwork and documentation
- Assist with preparation of individual, business and non-profit tax returns
- Perform entry-level accounting and reconciliation tasks
- Organize and maintain client workpapers
- Learn public accounting processes while working directly with partners and staff. Work of 20 to 30 hours per week. Flexible schedule to accommodate your school assignments.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- All class years welcome, including freshmen.
- No prior accounting or internship experience required, but preferred
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills; Excel and other Microsoft office suite
