Job Title: Investment Research Analyst (Special Situations Analyst)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Investment Research Analyst to join our team in New York City. This role focuses on the publication of institutional-quality research specializing in spin-offs, carve-outs, demergers, and other corporate divestitures. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying high-conviction investment opportunities across U.S.-listed and international markets (primarily in Europe), and delivering actionable insights to our buy-side clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Publication: Author comprehensive, institutional-grade research reports on pending and completed corporate actions (e.g., spin-offs, demergers, and other corporate divestitures).
- Coverage: Conduct fundamental analysis on both the "Parent" and "Spin" entities for domestic and international listings.
- Client Engagement: Maintain routine dialogue with institutional clients through video calls and in-person meetings to discuss key investment ideas.
- Travel: Periodically travel domestically and internationally to meet with clients.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in publishing investment research to buy-side investors
- Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Presence: Ability to work from our New York City office a minimum of four days per week.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting complex financial ideas to sophisticated investors.
- Excel Modeling: Ability to build & maintain supporting financial models, including historical & forward financial estimates as well as overall valuation scenarios
Preferred (but not Required)
- Deep subject matter expertise in special situations, specifically the mechanics and valuation of spin-offs and carve-outs.
- Established reputation or existing relationships within the buy-side community.
