Carpenter 1 – CBS Door & Hardware, Manhattan KS

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to read architectural floor plans
- Cursory knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Valid Drivers License
- Proficiency in installation of all doors and mechanical hardware is a plus (Exit devices, closers, mortise locks, mullions, etc.)
- Flexibility to transfer between multiple projects on an as needed basis
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and customers
- Other duties and job responsibilities as needed
- Minimum Tool Requirements:
- Work Boots w/ Safety Toe
- Hand Tools As Required
- Screw Drivers, Allen Wrenches
- Needle nose/Pilar's
- Crescent Wrench, Vise Grips
- Hammer, 10"-12" tool bag
- Hardhat, Safety Vest, Personal Protection Equipment will all be provided
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 80lbs.
- Ability to work in various weather elements.
- Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.
- Travel may be required as we have contract work from East Coast to West Coast and depending on job locations/schedule, travel may be a needed. Work trips are usually 4-6 days with hotel, airfare, and travel hours covered.
- Per diem for over night stays also provided
- We work 4 - 10 hour days Monday - Friday, with the occasional Friday/Saturday work depending on job scheduling/work flow
- We Pre hardware all jobs in our Install Shop in Manhattan KS, and then set up logistics to mobilize to each jobsite.
