What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Liability Associate Attorney position at Peabody & Arnold LLP?

Peabody & Arnold is seeking a talented associate with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to work in our Professional and General Liability team. Candidates must have superior academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills. Experience in legal malpractice defense, A&E defense, and/or accounting malpractice defense are a plus. Rhode Island admission is a plus.


Our team represents a wide range of professionals and related businesses, which includes representation in state and federal courts, disciplinary boards, and arbitration tribunals. Peabody & Arnold has been a professional liability defense firm in Boston for over 40 years and we work with most of the major professional liability insurers.


Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • JD from accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Active bar admission with an ability to obtain MA admission quickly
  • 2-5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Ability to work independently within a supervised team setting.
