What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary shift lead position at Peabody Retirement Community?
Peabody Retirement Community is seeking an Dietary Shift Lead to help manage our kitchen by planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the Dining Services department, along side the Dietary Manager.
As well as staying in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards and ensuring quality nutritional meals are prepared and served from kitchens maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
- Along side the dietary manager, assisting with each of these topics
- Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
- Inspects storage areas on a weekly basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order. Assists in cleaning procedures as needed.
- Submits written reports to the administration as necessary.
- Directs and assists with supervising all dietary functions and personnel.
- Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary employees.
QUALIFICATIONS OF DIETARY SHIFT LEAD :
- Must be knowledgeable of Federal and State rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements
- Prior food service experience in a long-term care setting, preferred
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
