Key Responsibilities
- Public Area Maintenance
- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms, ensuring they are spotless and inviting.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and restock supplies as necessary.
- Address any spills or accidents promptly to ensure guest safety.
- Assist room attendants by delivering fresh linens, towels, and amenities to rooms as needed.
- Collect soiled linens and towels from housekeeping carts and rooms.
- Stock housekeeping closets with necessary supplies for room attendants.
- Assist in deep cleaning projects, such as carpet shampooing or furniture moving, when required.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, delivering additional items such as pillows, towels, or toiletries directly to guest rooms.
- Ensure all guest interactions are professional and courteous, upholding the hotel’s service standards.
- Transport clean and dirty linens to and from laundry facilities.
- Sort and organize linen closets, ensuring items are neatly folded and accessible for housekeeping staff.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
- Follow hotel safety and security guidelines, including proper handling of biohazards and chemicals.
- Participate in training programs to ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.
- Prior experience in a housekeeping or hotel environment is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
