What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Club Attendant position at Peak Health & Wellness?
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the childcare program. In addition to maintaining licensing regulations, health and safety of the children, the position is also responsible for ensuring proper hygiene is followed. The schedule is will be mostly evening shifts from 4pm-8pm.
Essential Functions

- Know and Peak’s Core Values and Mission Statement
- Greet, acknowledge and interact with members and children in a friendly manner
- Articulate knowledge of Kids Club programs and services, policies and procedures
- Oversee parent check-in and check-out for each child
- Ensure necessary paperwork is completed (liability waivers) along with parent contact information
- Oversee client children and ensure a safe environment. This may include, but not limited to diaper changing, reading books, interactive involvement and more.
- Organize and store toys and materials
- Sanitize toys, play equipment and complete the daily cleaning checklist.
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- On time and present for each shift
- Competencies
- Have an innate passion for working with children
- Pass a background checks required by state specific child care licensing laws
- Have or obtain all necessary vaccinations (or signed exemption)
- Excellent communication skills with children and parents required
Work Environment
This job operates in a health club environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Continual standing and walking during shift
- Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
- Must be able to occasionally lift over 45 pounds
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals, such as cleaning supplies
