Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and self-directed Janitor/Cleaner who takes pride in doing the job correctly and thoroughly. This role is for someone who understands professional cleaning standards, follows instructions the first time, and works independently without constant supervision.
If you cut corners, need reminders, or say work is done when it isn’t—this is not the role for you. If you are dependable, detail-focused, and serious about cleanliness, we want to hear from you. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough, consistent cleaning of all assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Maintain floors to a professional standard, including proper sweeping, mopping, and care of surfaces
- Clean and restock restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure they are sanitary at all times
- Complete detailed custodial tasks such as window cleaning, surface disinfecting, machine cleaning, and work surface upkeep
- Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies according to established procedures
- Follow specific cleaning instructions and schedules without shortcuts
- Identify and report issues or maintenance needs proactively
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE at all times
Required Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience (commercial or industrial experience strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently without supervision
- Strong attention to detail — you notice what others miss
- Ability to follow instructions exactly and complete tasks fully
- Honest, dependable, and accountable for your work
- Familiarity with professional cleaning products, equipment, and safety practices
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment
