Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receiving department and ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials
- Coordinate and prioritize incoming shipments, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner
- Inspect received goods for quality and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate records of received items, including quantities and condition
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper storage and organization of inventory
- Train and supervise receiving team members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Implement and enforce OSHA safety standards in the receiving area
- Utilize AS400 or similar inventory management software to track and manage inventory levels
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge for operating equipment used in materials handling
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes, including knowledge of best practices
- Ability to lift heavy objects, as this role may involve heavy lifting
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and processes is a plus
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management systems
