Your Impact:

Pearce Renewables is looking for Travel Troubleshooting Technicians certified on all platforms. Our Certified Wind Technicians carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor assembly, minor service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. Expected to be able to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, minor to medium repairs crane/non-crane related, design modifications/retrofits and special projects, all following proceduralist maintain certifications in all areas required by position. The position is 100% travel.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Calibrate and adjust turbine components to enhance performance.
  • Conduct maintenance of equipment including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions on GE, Vestas, Siemens, Nordex, Acciona and/or Gamesa turbines.
  • Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems.
  • Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform wind turbine generator (WTG) and associated equipment assembly, repair, and maintenance.
  • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements.
  • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills.
  • Requires GWO Certification, either existing or available through Pearce Training Program.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • Twelve (12) months related or troubleshooting experience required.
  • Siemens and/or Gamesa training.
  • GE LOTO Certified.
  • Vestas LOTO Certified.
  • Tower Rescue/Tractel and SRK 11 Certifications preferred.
  • Service reporting, work order documents, and records will be written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.
  • Ability to read schematics.

Physical/Work Environment

  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
  • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
  • Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
