The Aquatic Technician is responsible for all preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all bodies of water at the Lodge, Casa Palmero, and Beach & Tennis Club.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain shop and engineering equipment in a clean, neat, and orderly way.
- Perform repairs on pumps and plumbing related to pools, hot tubs, and fountains.
- Calibrate sensors, adjust set points, and troubleshoot chemical feeders.
- Monitor chemical levels daily in all bodies of water.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all pool equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Repair and replace damaged pumps and motors.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pool and hot tub heaters.
- Ability to prioritize work calls by importance and handle multiple tasks simultaneously through completion.
- Ability to maintain back stock of necessary spare parts and chemicals and order when needed.
- Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Ability to interact with guests in a professional manner that is consistent with Pebble Beach Company standards.
- Implement emergency actions as described in “Emergency Procedures Plan” and according to established department procedures.
- Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Absolutely Required Skills:
- Ability to work in a neat and orderly way, always maintaining professional appearance.
- Able to perform physical active work, including heavy lifting.
- Current Certified Pool Operator certification.
- Mechanical skills and engineering maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of Lockout procedures important.
- Ability to perform repair, and preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of motors, pumps, plumbing systems.
- 5 years’ experience in Engineering or related fields, especially at a hotel or building complex.
- Valid California driver's license with less than 2 points.
