What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance Technician position at Pedcor Companies?
We have an immediate opening for our Commercial Grounds Technician. The opening is a full-time position in Carmel, IN. The Grounds Technician is a key player in providing awesome curb appeal and a stunning overall appearance of the properties.
Primary job is responsible for light maintenance, upkeep, and curb appeal for all commercial, retail, offices and common areas. Includes, but not limited to the ongoing trash/debris removal daily on the properties, parking areas, common areas and dumpster areas. Maintain the green space on locations and completing work orders as assigned.
- Regularly assists in monitoring and maintaining buildings and common areas
- Assists in maintenance problems by utilizing knowledge and skills to perform repairs
- Assists in performing regular maintenance
- Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor
- Technical skills required to handle service request/work orders
- Maintaining property grounds
- Good customer service and communication skills to communicate and interact with team members, employees and tenants
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
Requirements
- Dependable
- Adhere to Fair Housing requirements
- Able to accomplish heavy trash/ debris removal and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to communicate appropriately and professionally with Supervisor and fellow employees
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8AM-5 PM
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic maintenance
- Self-starter and motivator
- Possess problem solving skills, research and development skills
- Ability to communicate professionally to tenants, employees and supervisors
- Prioritize and plan work activity, time management skills
- Ability to be accurate and thorough in all aspects of work
- Observes safety and security procedures
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work some holidays
- Must have Driver’s license, car insurance and means of transportation at all times
Physical requirements:
- Able to climb ladders, lift, push and pull heavy objects
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in all variables of climates
