We are looking for a motivated LVN to join our team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position, but are not intended to be all-inclusivePre & post op patients, including IV insertion, pre & post op paperwork, patient education, and discharge instructions.Monitor patient vitals (HR, BP, O2Sat, EKG) during proceduresAssist in venouse procedure room preparation; maintain sterile techniques in the procedure room; assist with pre- and post-procedures, including assessment of dischargeAssist in recovery room patient care following vascular procedures and venous proceduresAssist in patient bay turnoverGather patient clinical information prior to procedures, including patient assessments and patient historyKeep clear and accurate patient medical recordsAssist the inventory manager in maintaining the inventory countOther duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to:Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as neededKnow, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and proceduresConsistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this positionOversee and manage the Environment of Care reporting binder for our sites' accreditationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required)Current LVN license in the state of practice is requiredMinimum of two (2) years clinical experience in critical care, interventional radiology, or medical/surgical requiredIV certificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredBasic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word requiredESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS, SKILLS, AND ATITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITIONStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectivelyDemonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levelsDemonstrated strengths in organizational, attention to detail, follow-through, analytical, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities according to clinical standards; high degree of initiativeSelf-directed; able to function independently and as a member of a team, and to foster a positive work environmentDemonstrated exactness in attention to detailDemonstrated ability to present and document work according to standards requiredDemonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality concerning patient informationAbility to remain calm and act appropriately in emergency or life-threatening situationsEmpathy, consideration, and respect for patients and teammatesLANGUAGE SKILLSFluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the positionAbility to read, speak, and write English with clarity of expression sufficient to communicate technical and complex concepts to teammates, patients, and patient family members in clear and easily understandable terms requiredThe ability to understand clinical/medical vocabulary written or spoken in English is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. In general, the position requires the following physical activities:Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted; able to stand for extended periods of time and to perform repetitive stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, with some sitting; full range of body motions required to lift patients, wear a lead apron, and lift suppliesManual dexterity and the ability to work rapidly are requiredAbility to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 200 pounds unassisted; seek assistance for any patient over 200 poundsAbility to lift and move patient transport devicesAbility to push/pull up to 50 pounds
