Description:
Pediatric practice looking for a friendly, hard-working, medical assistant with immediate opening. Full-time preferred, but part-time candidates may be considered.
- Completion of accredited MA program preferred. May also consider those under training in similar health care field.
- COVID vaccine (and booster if eligible)
- Motivated candidate must work well with others, able to manage multiple tasks, and be reliable and punctual
Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist front and back office staff with scheduling appointments, patient registration, collecting payments, preparing exam rooms
- Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
- Prepare patients for examination by interviewing patient/parent, recording medical history, obtaining height and weight measurements and vital signs, performing hearing and vision screening
- Administer immunizations
- Help physicians with minor office procedures
- Accurately complete documentation in a timely manner within office's electronic medical record
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
