Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA (Bucks County) is currently seeking a Full-time Activities Assistant (12:00pm-8:00pm shift), who is enthusiatic and compassionate to join our team! Play time and activities is a critical component to the care and growth of the children we care role. In the role of an Activities Assistant, you will ensure each childs’ social, emotional and developmental needs are met through a variety of 1:1 and group activities.
At Pediatric Specialty Care, we are dedicated to providing the best possible long term, short term and transitional care available for technology-dependent and medically fragile infants, children and young adults. We are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of medically complex and technology dependent individuals ranging from birth to 21 years of age.
We are located in Point Pleasant, PA at 90 Cafferty Rd (off River Rd) on Bucks County. Our regulations require employees be 21 years , have a GED/HSD and reliable transportation. This campus is NOT located on a public transportation route.
Day-to-Day tasks for Activities Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure activities are prepared for the day
- Facilitate group and individual activities per the monthly Activities Calendar
- Assist residents in their daily care, as needed
- Document activity participation and goals’ progress
- Accompany residents on community outings
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Artistic background or previous instruction from a certified activity consultant
- Ability to lead group programs
- Previous experience working in an activities department in long term care or hospital setting
