Job description:
- Provides Physical Therapy services to patients under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist designated by the client facility, in accordance with state regulations.
- Assists Physical Therapist to assess patient to determine problems and goals of each patient in cooperation with physician.
- Utilizes current research to provide therapeutic intervention that is fun and engaging.
- Documents all therapy sessions in an accurate and timely manner according to company policy.
- Communicates with parents regarding plan of care and home exercise programs.
- Collaborates with team members.
- Complies with federal and state Physical Therapy regulations and ethics.
- Adheres to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains professional knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal/professional networks; participating in professional societies.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of rehabilitative treatment techniques in treating across multiple age groups.
- Knowledge of the regulations and practice standards of Physical Therapy.
- Knowledge of equipment and instruments used in daily activities.
- Assesses and prioritizes tasks, projects and demands.
- Critical thinking skills in the performance of Pediatric Physical Therapy.
- Maintains cooperative working relationships with others.
- Maintains good working relationships with community resources, referral sources, agencies, and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, parents, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrates initiative with ideas to assist with growing the clinic.
Hours
Monday-Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Friday 9:00-2:00
