Technology Support Specialist
REPORTS TO:
Director of Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people at varying technical levels and skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Highly motivated and focused, with the ability to work in both a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Work in an environment that will require being on your feet for long periods of time, climb ladders, use a scissor lift, and work under desks and in tight spaces.
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Associates degree in computer science or related field. (In lieu of an Associates degree or higher,
4 years of experience in a desktop support role or a similar field).
- Comp TIA A and/or Network Certification.
- Experience in computer and network support.
- Proficient with standard computer and printer hardware.
- Proficient in network cabling, wired/wireless networks.
- Experience working in a domain environment and have experience working with Active Directory.
- Proficient in current operating systems and office suites (i.e. Windows 10, Mac OS, G-Suite
Administration, Microsoft Office, etc).
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Windows Server 2012/16/19.
- Experience with image deployment.
- Experience with G-Suite.
- IP addressing and routi9ng and NIC management.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Remain current on industry trends, standards, and required certifications
- Install and maintain new hardware and software, including but not limited to new PCs, OS deployment/imaging, Chrome OS enrollment/deployment.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure as required, including network wiring and termination, switches, wireless APs, servers, phones, printers/copiers and cameras.
- Maintain security best practices, including but not limited to managing end user access to all resources, both internal and external.
- Effectively triage hardware and/or software applications to efficiently resolve end user issues, as well as prioritize helpdesk and project work.
- Thoroughly track, document, and communicate all work performed, from end user requests, project work, and knowledge management.
- Efficient in resourcing and identifying necessary information to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Learn and become proficient in software and hardware used by the district.
- Perform work at the desktop level such as repairing physical hardware and configuring systems and applications.
- Train, troubleshoot, and supervise various student interns with break-fix and streaming of school events.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all district IT assets.
- Networks and seeks out knowledge from other users and groups in the education industry.
- Effectively prioritize project work and help desk requests.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality in the performance of all assigned duties.
- Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Network/Systems Administrator or other district administrators.
SALARY:
We pay a competitive rate based on experience.
