Production Worker Part Time Rogers Biologicals Division

JOB SUMMARY

The Bio Prod Tech main responsibility is collecting, controlling, and properly directing blood during the slaughtering process to ensure sanitary conditions, regulatory compliance, and efficient bio operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and manage blood during the slaughtering process according to company procedures.
• Ensure blood is properly directed to designated collection systems or containers.
• Monitor equipment and tools used in blood collection and report issues to supervision.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and animal welfare standards.
• Comply with all safety rules, including use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist with washdown and sanitation activities as assigned.
• Communicate any abnormalities, spills, or hazards immediately to supervisors

OTHER DUTIES

• Support the Bio Production Team with other duties including packaging, bottling, and dispensing products and sanitation (cleaning lab dishes).
• Cross-training with other Bio Production Techs to learn other Bio Production Processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Safety Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Properly use PPE such as gloves, aprons, face shields, boots, and protective clothing.
• Participate in safety training and report unsafe conditions promptly.

EDUCATIONRELATED EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work in conditions involving blood, odors, moisture, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Previous related experience preferred.

WORKING SCHEDULE AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Duties are typically performed in a meat processing production environment. This is a permanent part-time position, Monday to Friday starting at 6:45 am working up to 5-6 hours per day.
