We specialize in designing, engineering, manufacturing and distributing the finest products. Pelco manufactures traffic signal hardware, utility products, and decorative outdoor lighting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following (other duties may be assigned):


  • Review daily / weekly requirements at machining cells (Dispatch list and PRP).
  • Replenish supermarket requirements (refilling of empty signals, totes, racks, half pallets, and wire baskets.
  • Able training new employees
  • Fully Setup CNC machines and fixtures on various machines to support production needs.
  • Verify Quality of all parts being produced to the Drawing
  • Review and monitor material requirements based on supermarket and job requirements (Plex)
  • Understand and update MDI Board
  • Make minor CNC machine offset adjustments and program adjustments
  • The ability to perform minor trouble shooting on equipment in the CNC Department
  • Able to do internal rework
  • Implement and maintain Lean Principles in all cells in the Department
  • Maintain a safe and hazardous free area
  • Implement all 5S standards.

Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:


  • General knowledge of machines and tools particularly micrometers and calipers
  • General knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
  • Basic knowledge of simple arithmetic; ability to count and measure
  • Good writing and communication skills; speak, write and understand the English language
  • Be able to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to a problem
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and co-workers
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Education and/or Experience:

Required:


  • 1 year of machine operator experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Ability to read, understand and train others on drawings and work instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Must be a good communicator (written and verbal) and able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.


Preferred:
Previous experience in manufacturing/production

  • Standing and walking for long periods of time. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Lifting up to 40lbs unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items utilizing a team lift.
  • Repetitive use of hands/motion and have manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and multi-limb coordination.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, respirator mask, coveralls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. General physical activities would include activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and whole body, such as lifting, walking, and handling of materials.
  • Hands and arms will be used in handling, positioning, and moving parts and materials
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs (Extent Flexibility)


Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Work environment is not climate-controlled. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required. Mechanical equipment and moving objects.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00AM – 3:30PM. May require overtime based on business needs.


Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.


Safety Sensitive Position:
This position is a safety-sensitive position as defined in the Pelco Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and 63 Okla. Stat. § 427.8(K)(1)
